The taste and crispiness of Potato Finger Chips is surprisingly close to the french fries sold in the Burger King or MacDonalds. And you can make it as spicy as you want instead of having a bland version of it at these fast foods. Do let me know if you happen to try this at home and loved it just like we do here.

French Fries Ingredients:

  • Potatoes – 2 Big sized
  • Salt – 1/4 tsp
  • Red Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Oil to fry

How to Make Finger Chips/Fries:

The French Fries that everyone loves to have at MacDonalds is actually pretty easy to prepare at home.

1. Mix Salt and Red Chilli Powder in a small bowl. Keep it aside.

2. Wash and peel the Potatoes. Cut them lengthwise into shapes close to the french fries as shown in the image.

3. Deep fry the cut potatoes in medium flame until the potatoes turns golden brown.

4. Remove from the oil and place these fried potatoes on paper towels to help absorb the excess oil. Then, add Salt and Chilli powder mixture to the fries.

Serve hot to be consumed immediately after preparation. Tomato sauce should accompany these finger chips.

    This is Shyamala. The receipes given by you are really fantastic, delicious. First of all i would like to thank you for that. I have a doubt on juice varities. I have a 2 yr old kid and he is drinking only juices at the late night and not milk. So, it is very difficult for me to wake up at late nights and preparing fresh juices. ( i read some article that we do not keep the fresh juices for the long time. It will ferment and not healthy. Even i do not want to give my child juices like tropicana, slice… as it contains high preservatives).I heard that we can prepare juices using some preservative called KMS and we can keep the concentrate for even 6 months with out refrigeration…So, i like to prepare some fruit juice concentrate other than lemon but i dont know how to prepare that. It would be better if you tell me how to prepare juices and keep it for atleast 4 or 5 days.

    i have read the recepie of finger chips i like it very much but the thing is i dint got the crispyness after made them,as the chips of mcdonalds have .plz tell me what will i do to continue the crispyness of finger chips.

    • To obtain the crispiness of finger chips, try to boil in water the entire potato without peeling the outer skin for 10 min. Then peel the skin and continue from Step 2 above involving cutting the potato and frying. Hope this helps.
