Hi,
All of ur recipes are too good. I have one doubt, what is Kitchen King Masala Powder. i haven’t heard of it b4. Pls tell me how to prepare the same.
Dhivya – Thanks for the kind comment. You can get Kitchen King Masala Powder in the Indian grocery stores. Kitchen King is a company based out of Tamil Nadu specializing in spicy products. If you have trouble finding it, you can try Masala Powders of other brands like Catch or MDH. My preference is Kitchen King for its taste. Hope this helps.
All of ur recipes are too good, any classes conducting you madam,
pleaze send the details, iam staying at bsk3rd stage, hosakerehalli,
thankingyou,
from
vasanth
Vasanth – Glad you find my recipes helpful. I don’t conduct cooking classes. But I can provide you the address of someone who is an expert and has been conducting classes for many years now. She stays in Chandra Layout. Let me know if you want to try her classes and need more info.
hai hema
ur receipes are too good and mouth watering. i have tried some of ur receipes. the receipes are very attractive. can u tell me what is dosa rice please.
Jayashree – Thanks for the kind words and happy to hear that the recipes help. Dosa Rice is usually thicker with coarse texture and generally much cheaper than regular Sona Masoori rice used for cooking. Dosa’s prepared with this rice taste much better. Dosa rice is perhaps the cheapest rice available in the store (it’s still raw rice and not boiled one). Hope this helps.
Hi Hema, I must say that you have done a neat job, very yummy delicious recipes, explained in simple words, each and every step is described clearly. I just love khara pongal, besi bele bath and all rice item. i would like to try the various pulav recipe you have mentioned.
Thank you so much Hema, Keep up the good work
Thanks Lalitha for trying out the recipes and writing to me. Happy to hear that these recipes help.
hi hema,
i have been trying out a few dishes from ur blog, and it has come out very well. they r very easy to prepare. thank u for sharing all these recipes. i would like to know whether u can make kalakand sweet without adding alum or pitakari. please let me know. thank you and do continue ur service
Vani – Happy to hear from you that these recipes are helping you. For Kalakand, I used Alum or Pitakari to “break” the Milk only. It does not impart any taste to the Kalakand as such. If you are having trouble finding Alum or Pitakari, you can have 1/2 tsp of Citric Acid dissolved in 1 Tbsp of warm water and then add to the Milk.
Please let me know if y r planning to publish a book of your recipes. I will be the first one to buy it!!
Love all your recipes and the detailed description of them.
Thanks Anupama for your encouraging words. Recipe book can be a big undertaking. I hope I can make some time for this and come up with an book/ebook soon…
It is a very useful article. Thank you.
Very informative, I am bookmarking this page for future reference
Hi Hema,
I am glad that someone is Master in Kitchen who helps all to understand all the ingredients first of all.
Few of them from the above list have updated wrongly. Could you please review and update it again.
Keeping posting new recipes…..Good to share knowledge.
Thanks & Regards,
Pallavi
