Paradi Payasa is a simple sweet dish made using the Rice and jaggery. When you do not have much choice of ingredients to make some sweet dish, you can always choose this Paradi Payasa. The preparation is little difficult, soak the rice for 2-3 hours and grind with sufficient water. The batter should be very thick and not like dosa batter and prepare the granuals by pressing the batter in a hole contained ladle and add the Coconut Milk and Jaggery to it it.

Paradi Payasa / Payasam Ingredients

  • Rice – 1/4 Cup
  • Jaggery
  • Coconut Milk
  • Cardamom powder
  • Salt

Time to Prepare : 20-30 mins

How to Make Paradi Payasa:

  1. Add maida flour, pinch of salt to water and make it a dough. The dough should become as thick as that for dosa.
  2. Have water in a kadai vessel and add jaggery and heat the same. When water starts boiling, add maida dough by shaking in a vessel with pores. Keep stirring, add coconut milk and cardamom powder. Leave the mixture to boil.

Serve hot in a bowl.
