Happy Ganesha Chaturthi and a delightful news to share

I wish all the readers a very Happy Gowri Ganesha festival. Ganesha/Vinayaka Chaturthi has always been memorable day for me – at least it was the day my mother prepared the all time favorite dish of mine – Sihi Kadabu or cooked Rice Dumplings with Coconut plus Jaggery fillings, cooked on aromatic Turmeric leaves.

On this festive occasion, I am happy to let all my readers know that we were blessed with a baby girl recently. While I am having a great time with my little one, my blog has had to slow down a little bit. Many of you have written to me but I have not been able to reply back. I do miss my blog and will surely be back in a month or two to continue posting more recipes here. Thanks for your support! – Hema

  1. Hi Hema,

Congratulations…and enjoy every moment with your angel.
hey..would it be possible for you to post some recipes for toddlers of 1.5 yrs when you get free. Preferably snacks.

    Thank you.

    • Thanks Ashwini. Sure I am having a great time with my little one. I am finding it quite difficult to post recipes at present but have been building a collection of future posts slowly. Will try to keep my mind open for recipes for toddlers.

Meanwhile, I would ask you to check Kids Recipes site from Sailaja, one of the bloggers I truly admire. She has a Kids Snacks section too. May be a few of them will suit toddlers. Thanks for asking and have a great time with your kid.

  2. Thanks a lot for responding Hema…a little late to respond back from my end…and also for the link..I will check it out. I understand…life gives no time for anything else when you have a kid…anyways you too have a great moments with your baby.
